How to Appeal Your Property Taxes in Manistee, MI (By Meagan Kempf, Realtor)

2010 Tax Assessments have arrived here in Manistee County!

With the decline in both State Equalized Value and Taxable Values, it is very important that your 2010 property tax assessment paperwork carefully to make sure your tax assessment accurately reflects the value of your property.

If you feel your property is over assessed, you only have a short period of time to protest your assessment with the local Board of Review.  The review boards meet in March, but dates vary by each municipality, so be sure to contact your local assessor.

Manistee Township Board of Review
Monday, March 8, 2010 - 2-5pm & 6-9pm
Tuesday, March 9, 2010 - 9-noon & 1-4pm
