Gun Lake (also known as Gunn Lake) is approximately 240 acres in size and most of it has sandy beach frontage. The maximum depth is about 22 feet. One of my favorite things about Gun Lake is the small island with a cottage on it in the center of the lake, which gives the lake unique character. The water is also fresh and clear, and usually nice and warm for swimming, tubing and water skiing. Gun Lake offers outstanding fishing and the DNR states the following species are present: Black Crappie, Bluegill, Hybrid Striped Bass, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, Rock Bass, Sunfish, Walleye and Yellow Perch.
